Trains of Thought is an intellectual project concerned with the effects of speed on perceptions of life and on human freedom.


Trains is run by Marcus Hibbeln. Marcus is a secondary teacher, freelance writer, and independent scholar based in London. He holds an MA in Cultural Studies from SOAS, University of London and a BA in Religious History from Reed College.


Trains is a project exploring new forms of intellectual community online. The author invites and welcomes commentary, discussion, and critique.
